Data and purposes
We use account email, a hashed password and display name for access; optional profile information, stories, votes and uploaded photographs for community features; and contact details and messages to handle enquiries and reports. Public posts and profiles are visible to other visitors. Complaint contact details and moderator notes are private.
Technical information
Essential sessions and CSRF tokens support sign-in and secure forms. Saved products and preferences use local browser storage. Submission protection uses server-observed network information and short-lived rate-limit records. Do not put sensitive documents into public uploads.
Service providers and choices
If configured, hosting, SMTP and translation providers process the data needed to provide those services. Opening retailer links or external media can disclose technical information to that destination. Newsletter messages require email confirmation and include an unsubscribe route. Optional advertising is labelled; this package does not add analytics trackers by default.
Retention and requests
Account and public content are retained while needed to provide the service, subject to moderation and deletion requests. Enquiries, reports and supporting evidence are retained for handling and necessary follow-up; technical rate records and unbound images have limited operational lifetimes. You can contact us to request deletion of information that is no longer needed. Records may be retained while resolving an active dispute or fulfilling an applicable legal obligation.

Use Contact us or Report content to request access, correction, deletion, objection or withdrawal of optional consent. We may need proportionate information to verify a request.
